SustainCommWorld The Green Media Show

Green Media Show

SustainCommWorld The Green Media Show, a conference and expo dedicated to sustainable corporate media and communications, will be held in Boston October 1 and 2, 2008. Chaired by Don Carli of the Institute for Sustainable Communication (ISC), the event's goal is to provide a diverse, balanced forum for education and dialogue among brand owners and others engaged in the creation, production and distribution of communication media. The conference will cover greening all areas of corporate communications, including advertising and direct mail, collateral, books and magazines, emails and websites, and more.

Marc Alt, co-chair of AIGA's Center for Sustainable Design, will host a half-day preconference workshop on September 30 on sustainable product design. The workshop, aimed at designers, consultants, and agency owners, will delve into the latest trends in materials and methods, and will equip attendees with in-depth knowledge to engage clients in sustainable design solutions. Another workshop, Sustainability 101, will provide more of a beginner's guide to green communications.

Other featured speakers at the conference include Lester Brown, Founder and President of the Earth Policy Institute, Michael J. Harrison, Co-President of Timberland Company, and Joel Makower, Writer, Speaker, and Strategist on Corporate Environmental Practices, Clean Technology, and Green Marketing. There will also be an exhibit hall at which trade exhibitors will offer their sustainable wares.

Xerox, Kodak, and the Institute for Sustainable Communication are major sponsors. For more information and to register, visit SustainCommWorld.

Hello,

We are landscape architects looking to send an email once a month on tips for my clients to become greener in their every day life. We recommend natural fertilizers, cisterns, etc.. but would love to know if there is a service or site that provides tips that I can add to.

Thanks,
Hali Beckman

Hello,
Does anyone know if this will cover printable medias such as papers and banner materials? We at EcoMedia, Inc. produce biodegradable and recyclable banner materials and would love to help out with this and be involved if this is the right type of show for us! Anyone know?
Thanks!
